Cancellation disappoints India and Pakistan

The second One-day International between India and Pakistan – which took place at Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot on October 31, 1984 – was abandoned as a draw, as the news of the assassination of the Indian prime minister, Indira Gandhi, reached.

And the rest of tour [which included the third One-day International at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar (the subject of this post)] was called off.

By the way, this was a 40-over-a-side match.

There was no toss.
